Thu, 27 August 2009 Jeez its hot here in Los Angeles. Its 107 degrees at the moment while I upload this set to you. The nights here remind me of Atlanta sans humidity, but its nice to have warm Summer nights again. Its been a while since I've had them! And speaking of warm Summer nights, I felt it best to put on another hot electro show before the season ends. This is the 3rd edition of ElectroLust.FM, and I've got a varied set happening. It wavers into sultry deep electro-disco, and out into sexy beat infused tracks. From LadyLuxe (he's great!), Junior Boys (my favorite), Bjork, to beyond, this set will get your heart pumping, and your libido kicking!

Sat, 22 August 2009 The second session of mixtape diary is here. This set is dj'ed by the
infamous Nina Grey, whose shoegazer and ambient collection is
intimidatingly vast and incredible. While I've been friends with Nina
virtually for a decade, we first actually met in Seattle back in 2006,
when the BNB first started. Nina Grey has been one of the foundations for this show with her advice, suggestions, and amazing support. It just seemed perfect for her to do a Mix Tape Diary Session. Not only is Nina a great asset in the fields of music with her record label Slow Town Records, but she is a phenomenal photographer and designer. Check out her website at: www.ninavision.com. I hope you enjoy the set! Harold Budd- It's Steeper Near The Roses (For David Sylvian)

Fri, 14 August 2009 ![]() Hey everyone, this is a new set called GORGEOUS, which revolves around the random themes of ETC, but heavily sticks to the essence of 'Beautiful Noise'. This set also features the new and unreleased track of Sally Shapiro, from her upcoming album "My Guilty Pleasures", which releases on August 25th. I hope you enjoy!

Fri, 7 August 2009 This Mortal Broadcast, the foundation of The Beautiful Noise Broadcast, is up this week, giving you an hour of shoegazer gorgeousness! I’m happy to present one of my favorite new shoegazer obsessions, Autorotation. Their music is filled with beautiful glitchy textured backgrounds intermixed with dark rich blurry waves of warm instrumental bliss. There are elements that will remind you of Mahogany, Worm is Green, Seely, and Broadcast at times… and just when you’ve think you’ve pigeonholed their sound, it’ll completely change direction into Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, and then Aphex Twin. I think most importantly overall, is that I just simply love the vocalist. Its that clean beautiful voice that just trembles the love, romance, and bliss of shoegazer that I miss so much. And rather than rehash back through the 90’s trying to score a hit of nostalgia, as I’m known to do, Autorotation perfectly satiates the feelings that shoegazer brings. Please check out their site below the track listing, and please stay tuned for future shows showcasing their gorgeous sound.

Fri, 31 July 2009 Ah, how I love chill out mash ups! This is the 4th session of FUSION, a set dedicated to those talented mash up artists focusing on downtempo and chill. One of my favorite remix artists "The Flying White Dots" has an AMAZING rendition of Bjork, that I had to put on here. This brilliant artist takes mash ups on a completely different level, transcending just mixing, into storytelling musical landscapes that leave you daydreaming completely out of your body. Check him out among the other great mixes here.
