Fri, 27 November 2009 Ok so I broadcasted this as the 4th session, when actually its the 5th. I blame the THC in the thanksgiving food for my brain damage. Nevertheless, the show is the 5th session of Durasoul. This show encompasses the best of jazz, soul, blues, mambo, motown, 20's through the 60's. This is jam packed (18 songs, good lawd) with some great classics here!! This is perfect for the upcoming season to soothe your shopping nerves, and warm your cold winter bones.

Thu, 19 November 2009 This set is filled to the brim with heavy electro beats, non stop dance, and new wave disco! This is (and I say this everytime I do this session), my favorite electro set of this year. I have been savoring some of these great remixes for a while, so I am very excited to play these tracks for you. This is danceable the entire way through, so enjoy!

Fri, 13 November 2009 This set is compiled mostly of some recent finds I have stumbled on, particularly in the new gazer category I've recently discovered one of my favorite new gazer bands called "Day Sleepers", who have blown my mind with their amazing talents. They took an entire generation of shoe gazer, and molded it into this superior super nova of blurry sound that is VERY addictive. The best thing about this group, is that there isn't ONE bad song that they've done. Its completely uncanny. I've put them up as the first song to start the set. I hope you enjoy this newgazer bliss!

Thu, 5 November 2009 Electro was what I was going to play this week, but as I was designing the flyer for this broadcast I started thinking "maybe I should do a broadcast that sounds perfect for stargazing in the desert in the middle of nowhere at night". This is what the result was. This set is chocked full with cool, crisp glitch IDM intermixed with warm honeyed sounds from an ambient hive. Two distinct sounds, merging together for a harmonious lullaby deep for driving under the stars.

Fri, 30 October 2009 ![]() Interpretations are great, especially when they come from such recent (and some classic) heavy hitters out the music world. This is, the 2nd compilation of cover songs I have done with the BNB. The first one, was back in 2007 when I was in Seattle, so this set is LONG overdue. I was really excited to see Goldfrapp cover the State of Grace song, "It's Not Over Yet". This song was a massive progressive trance hit exposed by Paul Okenfold in his stadium sessions back in the late 90's. This song, reinterpreted in the soft coolness of Goldfrapp's vocals hightens this song's potential 20 fold. And the strangest thing, is that this is a cover of a cover as the Klaxons recently did this one. Another fine gem is The Rest, doing one of my other favorite songs (as you might know, as I've played/annoyed you every damn remix on this broadcast of this one) of Robyn/Kleerup's "With Every Heart Beat". This luscious electro hit is reimagined into a blurry shoegazer track. Incredible! And lastly, the beginning and end tracks for this set. The first is a heartbreakingly beautiful rendition of Bjork's "Joga" by PS22 elementary school 5th graders out in Stanton Island, NY. The last is Roisin Murphy, Amanda Ghost, Cock'n'Bull Kid, and Sinead O'Connor singing a cover of Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman" (This too was also covered by Whitney Houston back in the day). This song was created for the UK Based "Action Aid", an org helping those out in poverty. Enjoy!

Fri, 23 October 2009 Hello BNB'ers, and welcome back this week. The Autumn is kicking in some amazing weather on the Pacific coast this year, which is perfect for kicking back and listening to ambient and mellow downtempo. Last week I mentioned that I was going to be dj'ing a versus set with Nina Grey, however it is postponed for later down the line. Instead, I'm bringing you back my absolute FAVORITE type of music to spin and listen to, which is ambient. This set has delicious glitch, slumbering electronic mellow ambient, shoegazer, and a bit of heroin house. This is also a dedication to my friend John out in the bay area, whose incredible music knowledge in the fields of ambient helped inspire this great set. I will say hands down, that this is one of my all time favorite sets I have dj'ed in the history of the BNB. Sleepyhead radio 9 also includes a collaboration with Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins singing on FSOL's Life Forms, and a great cover of BoC by Bibio. Enjoy!
Next Week: Undercover Lover Comments[5] |
Fri, 16 October 2009 Gorgeous electronica and dance is back up on the set this week with the 5th edition of "Beauty and the Beat". This set is compiled with progressive electro, new wave disco, and the newest in 90's revival! This is pure audio caffiene.

Fri, 9 October 2009 Ah! Autumn is settling on the Pacific Coast out here in Los Angeles which is nice. The BNB has now been in Los Angeles for a year! Celebrating this season, which is perfect for those cozy evenings deep in throes of another, is the 5th edition of "Hot Music For Cheap Hotels". This set delves deep into hot experimental, ambient, chill out, and minimalistic shoegazer. Enjoy.

Thu, 1 October 2009 ETC, the best random session filled with hot flotsam and jetsam sound, is back up on the BNB this week! This set is filled with random dance, glitch, electro, and pop for your hungry ears (can ears really be hungry? maybe not, but if your ears ate sound, they'd be eating this set up). Check it out!

Thu, 24 September 2009 This is a dual dj by Loveless & Grey this week for the ninth session of Chill Pill (9th session, really?!) this week. This session started in 2007 back in Seattle, and has traveled through San Francisco and finally out to here in Los Angeles California. Tennessee will be starting off the set with instrumental bliss moving into soft sweet sensual downtempo, and Nina Grey will be ending it out with great chill out classics intermixed with lounge and mellow grooves. Enjoy!

Wed, 16 September 2009 Howdy! This is the 3rd edition of $3 Disco, which originally was a basic dance set that emerged into a pure disco set. This one ranges with extremely hard to find classic and foriegn disco intermixed with new hits and electro fusions. Below the tracklist you will see one of my favorite obsessions in Italian Disco, Heather Parisi. Born in Hollywood, Heather grew up training in classic ballet, and was a part of SF ballet as a youth-teen. She was discovered on vacation in Italy while dancing in a Discotheque, and overnight she became one of Italy's biggest television stars, often appearing in the ever popular variety shows (Fantastico). The track on this playlist is from Fantastico 5 in 1984. This may not sound too American Disco'esque, but in Italy, Italian Disco (ItaloDisco) can branch onto the fusion of when disco merged with 80's classic dance. A recent major surge in modern electro has captured the classic elements of this genre, causing a great mix refreshed dance tracks. Check it out below!
And as always, your support for this show is majorly welcome! Next Week: Chill Pill 9 (Featuring Nina Grey) Comments[3] |
Fri, 11 September 2009 Ah, its my last days in San Francisco, my old home that I do miss (even though I'm pretty fond of Los Angeles strangely enough). I figured it would be best to sling out another somber lullaby of a set as I go back to my new city. It was nice to get away from the wildfire season in Los Angeles (which is still under massive wildfire North of the valley). So get your eyeballs a cryin', and your heart a achin' for the third edition of this set.

Fri, 4 September 2009 I'm back up in San Francisco for the week (and will be doing 2 broadcasts up here). Its about 30 - 40 degrees cooler back up here which is a welcome change from the blistering Summer heat of Los Angeles. Also, its nice to breathe! Currently North of Los Angeles (right past the valley), a raging forest fire is sweeping at a massive rate, causing the sky to cloud up and rain large amounts of ash all over Los Angeles and surrounding areas. I figured while I was up here, what better music to remind me of living here than playing music started out here in Mash Up Central (Thanks to Adrian and Mysterious D of the legendary club Bootie). While for the past two sessions, SMASHED! has been mixed with RoboDisco 3000 (Smash!Robot!Smash! sessions), it seemed better to split them up for now. (PS: I included three Party Ben tracks back to back because he's 100% genius._ Enjoy!

Thu, 27 August 2009 Jeez its hot here in Los Angeles. Its 107 degrees at the moment while I upload this set to you. The nights here remind me of Atlanta sans humidity, but its nice to have warm Summer nights again. Its been a while since I've had them! And speaking of warm Summer nights, I felt it best to put on another hot electro show before the season ends. This is the 3rd edition of ElectroLust.FM, and I've got a varied set happening. It wavers into sultry deep electro-disco, and out into sexy beat infused tracks. From LadyLuxe (he's great!), Junior Boys (my favorite), Bjork, to beyond, this set will get your heart pumping, and your libido kicking!

Sat, 22 August 2009 The second session of mixtape diary is here. This set is dj'ed by the
infamous Nina Grey, whose shoegazer and ambient collection is
intimidatingly vast and incredible. While I've been friends with Nina
virtually for a decade, we first actually met in Seattle back in 2006,
when the BNB first started. Nina Grey has been one of the foundations for this show with her advice, suggestions, and amazing support. It just seemed perfect for her to do a Mix Tape Diary Session. Not only is Nina a great asset in the fields of music with her record label Slow Town Records, but she is a phenomenal photographer and designer. Check out her website at: www.ninavision.com. I hope you enjoy the set! Harold Budd- It's Steeper Near The Roses (For David Sylvian)

Fri, 7 August 2009 This Mortal Broadcast, the foundation of The Beautiful Noise Broadcast, is up this week, giving you an hour of shoegazer gorgeousness! I’m happy to present one of my favorite new shoegazer obsessions, Autorotation. Their music is filled with beautiful glitchy textured backgrounds intermixed with dark rich blurry waves of warm instrumental bliss. There are elements that will remind you of Mahogany, Worm is Green, Seely, and Broadcast at times… and just when you’ve think you’ve pigeonholed their sound, it’ll completely change direction into Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, and then Aphex Twin. I think most importantly overall, is that I just simply love the vocalist. Its that clean beautiful voice that just trembles the love, romance, and bliss of shoegazer that I miss so much. And rather than rehash back through the 90’s trying to score a hit of nostalgia, as I’m known to do, Autorotation perfectly satiates the feelings that shoegazer brings. Please check out their site below the track listing, and please stay tuned for future shows showcasing their gorgeous sound.

Fri, 31 July 2009 Ah, how I love chill out mash ups! This is the 4th session of FUSION, a set dedicated to those talented mash up artists focusing on downtempo and chill. One of my favorite remix artists "The Flying White Dots" has an AMAZING rendition of Bjork, that I had to put on here. This brilliant artist takes mash ups on a completely different level, transcending just mixing, into storytelling musical landscapes that leave you daydreaming completely out of your body. Check him out among the other great mixes here.

Fri, 17 July 2009 This broadcast is a thank you session for all those that have supported
the show recently and over the years. I figured I would compile a
session dedicated to the artist you seem to like the most (recently),
which was Pogo. "Pogo is an emerging electronic music artist in Perth, Western Australia. He is known for his work recording small sounds from a single film or scene and sequencing them to form a new piece of music. His most notable track, Alice, a composition of sounds from the Disney film ‘Alice In Wonderland’, was received with much success gaining 3 million views on YouTube by July 2009. Pogo has since produced tracks from films like ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Sword In The Stone’." -Last FM I compiled a bunch of his tracks and mixed them with a few classics, and added a nice dance remix of Cocteau Twins. And speaking of Cocteau Twins, the shows coming out after this are going to hit more from the core of the BNB, with more shoegazer, glitch, and downtempo elements, so stay tuned. Also, check the link below the tracks to access free downloads of Pogo’s individual tracks! Again, thank you so much for listening, supporting, and being a part of the BNB!
Next Week: I'm featuring one of the best remixes I have heard in glitch for 'glitch-a-rama'! Comments[0] |
Fri, 10 July 2009 Sleepyhead Radio sessions are back with 1+ hours of ambient, drone, and heroin house. This session floats through the epic and classic tracks of Ambient pioneers, as well as current droning lullabies of some of newest lullaby allstars. Check out the first track espeically as it hits home with a nostalgic kick of heartache and desire.
Side Note: Thank you to all who helped out with the broadcast. As always, donations are always appreciated with this show. It means the world to me!

Tue, 30 June 2009 Hello Everyone! Rarely do I ever ask this, but in times like these it always helps to ask. As you know the BNB is a free podcast (as all podcasts should be), and I do this show for free because I love music and I love sharing music with you. However I need your support in keeping this show alive, so I'm setting up this fancy donation button! If you can help, that would be great! Thanks!

Fri, 26 June 2009 Hey BNB'ers! I'm moving (isn't this always the theme?) again, but not to a new city. I'm staying in Los Angeles for another year, but compromised my desire to be back in the heart of downtown SF, by living in the best place in the city, Los Feliz. I absolutely love the district and hope that this change will bring much inspiration for better sets! Now back to the noise, this is the 4th session of Beauty and the Beat, which focuses on the sounds of gorgeous electronica. Some of these tracks I have been saving for quite a while, so I'm excited to have this set finally available! Enjoy!

Fri, 12 June 2009 ETC is back with a session of "this is what I feel like playing because this is what i'm currently liking". These are often my favorite sets, mainly because they aren't pushed into a genre (I'm really ADD when it comes to music, so structure makes me all fidigity). Also on the set is a remix artist I've been following since I stumbled on him by accident searching for "Alice in Wonderland". Check out his Mary Poppins mix, as well as some of the other artists on this set. This session is my purest definition of 'beautiful noise' and I hope you agree!

Thu, 4 June 2009 Oh yes, the third session of Lyrical Stealth is here, and what better show, than to feature the glamorous, gracious, and ever so talented Southern Belle livin' in Glitter City Hollywood, herself, Calpernia Addams! If you are a fan of the BNB's show "ROBODISCO 3000", then you've heard her incredible song "Stunning". Check out her newest song (and great remix too BTW) of "Miss Dis". I've caught myself doing the 'nu-uh' finger wave move in my car WAY too many times to this song, and now I'm hooked on this track. (CORRECTION: On the show I mentioned the website wrong. I just drove 6 hours up the 5 North to San Francisco this weekend to spend time with friends. It is amazing how the weather in California goes from 103 degrees to 40 degrees in a matter of 4 miles! San Francisco is foggy and beautiful as ever. This set is mixed with down tempo, lush electronica, electro gazer, and haunting trip hop. Its a myriad of different songs that I wanted to compile for my birthday this week, so I hope you like this!

Fri, 15 May 2009 Hey everyone. The BNB is out in Athens, Georgia this week reconnecting with my family and friends. Its really good to get back to where I came from and see the places that I grew up. Living in California for the past decade has really disconnected me from my upbringing sometimes, so its really nice to see the origins of my family and life growing up. Up this week is a session called Interstate. This set is all about the best music to travel out and into the middle of nowhere. I hope you enjoy!

Thu, 16 April 2009 Up on the set today is a new session with the BNB called "Mix Tape Diary". This new set is a chance for other people to broadcast the music that they love. It was compiled by Luke Gragg, a music enthusiast out here in Los Angeles. His collection is so far different from my own, but over the months hanging out with him, I have come to love and want the music he plays. He was also the reason for the conception of the Vagabond broadcast a few months ago. Enjoy:

Fri, 10 April 2009 ![]() My sisters were the heroes of my youth, especially when it came to music. At a young age my sisters played me music that they loved (Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Psychedelic Furs, Siouxsie..) and it really stuck with me. I don't think that I would be doing this show if it wasn't for them. Also on the set is a dedication to Elissa Hadley, an amazing singer, and a mentor in my upbringing. She was my sisters best friend out in Athens Georgia. As a young teen I idolized her, and wanted to grow up and be as crazy as her. In 2006 she died of Cancer, and everyday I still think about her, and how I wish her death wasn't real. I'm sharing a track of hers from her band Breathlanes. I think you'll enjoy.

This is the 10th session of This Mortal Broadcast! I'm so glad to see that the BNB is still going on and this show is still one of the top loved genres. I started off this Broadcast (I believe it was the 3rd broadcast of the show on Libsyn) back in Seattle Washington (off of Madison and 23rd). Back then I was TERRIFIED of even speaking (hence the high pitched super duper fast talking nervousness), but after a few dozen shows things fell a bit more into place. Its funny, I thought that Shoegazer would have sounded better in Seattle and/or San Francisco when I lived there, but I find that, for some reason, Shoegazer sounds the best in Los Angeles. Whether it be in the drunken blurry lights of Hollywood, or in the lazy afternoons of the valley, I can't stop playing the heart throbbing music of Shoegazer. You will be hearing a hour and a HALF of pure shoegazer and electrogazer. So get your ears ready for warm blurry goodness.

Also, its open bar (ABSOLUT).
I would love to see you there. Its Tonight!

The BNB is going to slap the sadness from you. Well, not physically but you get the drift! This set is perfect from Cloud 9 or rock bottom, or somewhere always inbetween. Make sure to check out the rare track from the Popinjays. I couldn't believe I found that song! I used to play that back in the 90's when I was unhappy, and it always worked (well, that and the Cocteau Twins, but it was a little too slow for this mildly dancey set). So enjoy!

Oh I love Sleepyhead Radio. Ambient is so much fun to spin, and I wish that there was more venues were open to hear it. Until then my friends, here pure drone bliss for your slumbering heads. This particular session envokes a sense of placement. You'll be on the rooftops in New York City during a mid-day Summer rainstorm, on the English countryside watching the trains through the rural green fields, over into deep sterile deep space, and down into the nest of your very warm room underneath the sheets in felicity with your bedsheets. .. Or well, at least this is what I see when I'm listening to it. I hope you like this set, as always comments are much appreciated and I love hearing from you!

This group hails from Montreal (and half from Peru), and produces such an amazing experimental gorgeous sound that it paralyzes the heart and satiates the busy mind. They are called "Elsiane" and they are my new favorite chill out obsession (imagine Bjork, Emiliana Torrini, and Paula Cole mixed with a major orchestra). Wed, 31 December 2008 Hello Beautiful Noise Lovers! What a year its been! I'm certainly excited to see what new music and new events are going to happen in 2009 (can't you tell from all the exclamation points?!!). Three cities in one year, that is certainly a feat that I don't plan on doing anytime again soon (knock on wood). As for 2006 and 2007, at the end of the year I always do a session called Wonderland which encompasses the best of the year. For 2008, this set is filled with the best of dance, shoegazer, chill out, ambient, and glitch! I personally want to wish you a Happy New Year, and may 2009 be your best year yet!

Yes its in the 40's and thats no big deal to everywhere else, BUT considering I threw out all my winter clothes from being in Seattle.. well I look a bit foolish out here shivering like a chihuahua.Onto the BNB, this is a new session called Vagabond, which focuses on the 60's 70's and 80's in regards to rock. This music I refused to enjoy when I was younger, but now that my mind has opened up a little bit, well I feel like I've missed out a lot on this music. Take a listen, you might like it!

This is the 9th session of This Mortal Broadcast, a show all about shoegazer, electrogazer, and everything inbetween of the hot sultry blur of this genre. This is the last session before the retrospective set, so I hope you really like this. I personally have been listening to this during the melancholy strange times of this South Western transition into Los Angeles California. Its perfect for those slight and minute times of rain out here in this desert country. Its a perfect Greg Aaraki film debut of love and the bewilderment that comes from it.

As cold as it was, it was one of the most diverse and interesting cities I have ever lived in. There are times when it becomes cold where I miss bundling up to reach a destination in the vast city of brotherly love. This music is the perfect set of shoegazer and trip hop to calm you down and remind you of the beginning of this decade. Much Love, Tennessee Loveless

Ok so I broadcasted this as the 4th session, when actually its the 5th.
This set is filled to the brim with heavy electro beats, non stop dance, and new wave disco! This is (and I say this everytime I do this session), my favorite electro set of this year. I have been savoring some of these great remixes for a while, so I am very excited to play these tracks for you. This is danceable the entire way through, so enjoy!
This set is compiled mostly of some recent finds I have stumbled on, particularly in the new gazer category I've recently discovered one of my favorite new gazer bands called "Day Sleepers", who have blown my mind with their amazing talents.
Electro was what I was going to play this week, but as I was designing the flyer for this broadcast I started thinking "maybe I should do a broadcast that sounds perfect for stargazing in the desert in the middle of nowhere at night". This is what the result was. This set is chocked full with cool, crisp glitch IDM intermixed with warm honeyed sounds from an ambient hive. Two distinct sounds, merging together for a harmonious lullaby deep for driving under the stars.
Hello BNB'ers, and welcome back this week.
Gorgeous electronica and dance is back up on the set this week with the 5th edition of "Beauty and the Beat". This set is compiled with progressive electro, new wave disco, and the newest in 90's revival! This is pure audio caffiene.
Ah! Enjoy.
ETC, the best random session filled with hot flotsam and jetsam sound, is back up on the BNB this week! This set is filled with random dance, glitch, electro, and pop for your hungry ears (can ears really be hungry? maybe not, but if your ears ate sound, they'd be eating this set up). Check it out!
This is a dual dj by Loveless & Grey this week for the ninth session of Chill Pill (9th session, really?!) this week. Enjoy!
Howdy!
Ah, its my last days in San Francisco, my old home that I do miss (even though I'm pretty fond of Los Angeles strangely enough). I figured it would be best to sling out another somber lullaby of a set as I go back to my new city. It was nice to get away from the wildfire season in Los Angeles (which is still under massive wildfire North of the valley). So get your eyeballs a cryin', and your heart a achin' for the third edition of this set.
I'm back up in San Francisco for the week (and will be doing 2 broadcasts up here).
Jeez its hot here in Los Angeles. Its 107 degrees at the moment while I upload this set to you. The nights here remind me of Atlanta sans humidity, but its nice to have warm Summer nights again. Its been a while since I've had them!
The second session of mixtape diary is here. This set is dj'ed by the
infamous Nina Grey, whose shoegazer and ambient collection is
intimidatingly vast and incredible. While I've been friends with Nina
virtually for a decade, we first actually met in Seattle back in 2006,
when the BNB first started.
This Mortal Broadcast, the foundation of The Beautiful Noise Broadcast, is up this week, giving you an hour of shoegazer gorgeousness!
Ah, how I love chill out mash ups!
Howdy folks! Glitch-A-Rama is on for another session with a few new lovely tracks for your distortion loving ears. Check out the new Sylvie Marks & Hal 9000 (love that duo!) track as well as the extraordinary remix by Apparat of Moby's "Pale Horses".
This broadcast is a thank you session for all those that have supported
the show recently and over the years. I figured I would compile a
session dedicated to the artist you seem to like the most (recently),
which was Pogo.
Sleepyhead Radio sessions are back with 1+ hours of ambient, drone, and heroin house. This session floats through the epic and classic tracks of Ambient pioneers, as well as current droning lullabies of some of newest lullaby allstars. Check out the first track espeically as it hits home with a nostalgic kick of heartache and desire.
Hey BNB'ers!
Completely stressed out? Need musical therapy? Play this set and get a hour our musical spa for your ears. This session starts out with calm downtempo and moves into mellow electronica and funky downtempo. Its a perfect set to relax to! So take a deep breath and chill out with the 8th session of Chill Pill.
ETC is back with a session of "this is what I feel like playing because this is what i'm currently liking".
Oh yes, the third session of Lyrical Stealth is here, and what better show, than to feature the glamorous, gracious, and ever so talented Southern Belle livin' in Glitter City Hollywood, herself, Calpernia Addams!
Hot Music For Cheap Hotels is back (its been more than a year!) with the best of those tunes to get hot and bothered with. This set ranges from hot electro, succulent downtempo, to those nostalgic heart throbbing songs from our past. This set also features my current obsession "Little Dragon", which is a must listen to track.
So my microphone broke, so I had to get another one (I hope the sound isn't too weird). I was trying to upload this before my trip, but had to upload once I arrived. I just drove 6 hours up the 5 North to San Francisco this weekend to spend time with friends. It is amazing how the weather in California goes from 103 degrees to 40 degrees in a matter of 4 miles! San Francisco is foggy and beautiful as ever.
Hey everyone. The BNB is out in Athens, Georgia this week reconnecting with my family and friends. Its really good to get back to where I came from and see the places that I grew up. Living in California for the past decade has really disconnected me from my upbringing sometimes, so its really nice to see the origins of my family and life growing up.
The Summer is starting to kick in early here in Los Angeles. Its insanely hot here! Here to increase the sweat factor here is another electro dance-aholic session of Robo Disco 3000. This session is featuring the incomparable Tammie Brown, recently featured on Logo's reality television series "Ru Paul's Drag Race". I met Tammie Brown in LA while performing on New Years Eve. She performed her track and I absolutely loved it. You can check out her information via the information below. In the meantime check out some of these tracks!
Tear Jerker is back with a comeback as the cold cold spring is now mellowing out into a cloudy cool out here in Los Angeles. This set is about those melancholy songs that are perfect for those heartbreaking days, weeks, and months. So get out your kleenex and your crying bib and your chick flicks, and mellow out with the BNB.
ElectroLust.FM is back on the mix this week, bringing back the essence of what the BNB is all about, beautiful noise, and gorgeous hot electro. This is a perfect time for this mix as spring has sprung and the heat is starting to turn up.
Up on the set today is a new session with the BNB called "Mix Tape Diary". This new set is a chance for other people to broadcast the music that they love. It was compiled by Luke Gragg, a music enthusiast out here in Los Angeles.
Hey Everyone! I've been crunching down the hours in finishing my 14 new paintings for WOW (World of Wonder) Gallery's Show "Name That Toon". If you are in Los Angeles and would like to stop by, check out the flyer for the address! It is in Hollywood so the parking is a little rough, but there is a lot behind the gallery ($8). Also, its open bar (ABSOLUT).
I would love to see you there. Its Tonight!
Next week everything will be back on track!
In the meantime: watch this. Its the lyrics you never thought would be a part of this song.
I've gone through over 3000 songs to get you the perfect blend of Hindi music. This set ranges from pure Bollywood soundtracks, to Indian chill, and even out to fields of Electronica. Burn! Bollywood! Burn! is the first of its kind, so I hope you'll like this! As always, comments are appreciated!

Hello Lovers. This is the seventh session of Chill Pill, which is all about Chill Out, Downtempo, and Mellow Music. I have an incredible artist featured on the set this week. Check out this and the rest of such beautiful calm sound that'll make you daydream during your hectic day.
Happy Valentines BNB'ers! Its the 3rd session of hot heart throbbing electro for your veins. This show encompasses all the tracks I've been saving over the year that encompass the best of Valentines Day Electro! Also on this broadcast is Nicole and Legs from one of my favorite bands ELECTROCUTE. I cannot tell you enough how amazing these girls are, and I really really hope to hear more fantastic music from them in the future. Check out their track "Just As I Am" as the featured song for the set this week. You'll Fall in Love. And speaking of falling in love, I wish you the best this holiday and 2009 and hope you enjoy this and future sets to come.
Oh get ready for the campiness folks. Its the 2nd session of Strike It Up! Which is about 90's campiness and dance. This was a session originally called House of Labejia, but considering the blurry reference, I figured settling for a Black Box reference for all those tykes teens and adults who thrived in the neon 90's! Check it out!
Oh YES! Its the best of Glitch since 2007, plus my new favorite artists on this set. The BNB has never sounded better in IDM since the first show! Reminisce from the early Warp and Rephlex sounds down to the Berlin Alleyways of dark melodic lovliness. Glitch-A-Rama is back in effect with the collection of the best of distorted dance and more. Check out the new Modeselektor for Girls Remix of Bjork, Dandi Wind (My new favorite Sylvie Marks), and more!
Jazz! Soul! Motown! What more could you ask for in a classic BNB
broadcast? This is the fifth session, hitting just at a perfect time
during this cold and nostalgic winter. On this set you'll be hearing beautiful big band, slow crooning, and modern adaptations... and plus a little bit of interesting controversy (it was amazing what was appropriate in the 40's for Jazz, as if some of these lyrics were out to this day, these artists would be shunned).
ETC is back, and I have to say that I think this is my favorite ETC session so far (don't I always say that?). This is the first session of 2009, and its filled with all my favorite artists that I just couldn't put together on other shows. I hope you stay warm to this one!
Hello Beautiful Noise Lovers! What a year its been! I'm certainly excited to see what new music and new events are going to happen in 2009 (can't you tell from all the exclamation points?!!). Three cities in one year, that is certainly a feat that I don't plan on doing anytime again soon (knock on wood).
When I moved to Los Angeles, the word 'freezing' never came to mind when living here. This winter is INSANE out here on the West Coast. Yes its in the 40's and thats no big deal to everywhere else, BUT considering I threw out all my winter clothes from being in Seattle.. well I look a bit foolish out here shivering like a chihuahua.
Its time to feel the warm blur again in the Wintertime.
Oh I love city sessions! This broadcast focuses around 2000 - 2002 in retrospect to my stay in Philadelphia. As cold as it was, it was one of the most diverse and interesting cities I have ever lived in. There are times when it becomes cold where I miss bundling up to reach a destination in the vast city of brotherly love.
