Fri, 27 November 2009 Ok so I broadcasted this as the 4th session, when actually its the 5th. I blame the THC in the thanksgiving food for my brain damage. Nevertheless, the show is the 5th session of Durasoul. This show encompasses the best of jazz, soul, blues, mambo, motown, 20's through the 60's. This is jam packed (18 songs, good lawd) with some great classics here!! This is perfect for the upcoming season to soothe your shopping nerves, and warm your cold winter bones.

Fri, 23 January 2009 Jazz! Soul! Motown! What more could you ask for in a classic BNB
broadcast? This is the fifth session, hitting just at a perfect time
during this cold and nostalgic winter. On this set you'll be hearing beautiful big band, slow crooning, and modern adaptations... and plus a little bit of interesting controversy (it was amazing what was appropriate in the 40's for Jazz, as if some of these lyrics were out to this day, these artists would be shunned).Check it out!

Fri, 15 August 2008 Hey BNB'ers! I've just come back from a well rested vacation out in my favorite spot in the world, Orondo, Washington. This place is in the Eastern Washington Desert and spans over a dry mountain range and gorgeous blue lake (Lake Entiat). It was definately a change of pace, considering I live in the urban squalor of the tenderloin district of downtown San Francisco. Its a run down district a few blocks west of Union Square, the hub of the happy tourists... but here its filled with run down buildings, drug addicts, homeless families, and people who just can't seem to make it. Many times at night I hear men and women sing the blues. Occasionally there will be an echo of a trumpet or saxaphone and it gets me in the mood to play the blues. I've been building a decent set list in inspiration to my surroundings. Many nights I'll open up my window, hang out on the ledge and watch the traffic and people go by while this set list plays. I hope you enjoy this session as much as I love listening to it to. Its a jazz session infused with happy soul, motown, heartaching blues, remixes, classic hits, and new artists. I hope you enjoy.

Tue, 19 February 2008 Durasoul is back with the 3rd edition of soul! This project was supposed to be a one time thing, but since there was a demand for it, well.. The BNB had to do it again! The first session was focused on jazz and blues, the second session was about remixes, and this one is primarily about Mo-Town, Rock 'n' Soul, and a bit of Nancy Sinatra. Check out Duffy at the end of the broadcast as she is incredible!
